AAF Tri-Cities connects our members through ongoing programs and events that strengthen our advertising community. The programming and structure of these events will vary, but the general framework for each quarter of the year will consist of one lunch and learn style event, one social gathering, and one specialized industry speaker that we’ll bring in from outside the Tri-Cities. Here’s a quick look at our events…

These lunchtime affairs will introduce a local/regional advertising pro giving a presentation on a relevant topic that advertisers and marketers will find useful. Topics may range from digital or social media marketing and advertising, to branding, leadership, networking and more. Lunch & Learns will aim to stick to a 1-hour time limit, offering 20-30 minute presentations with Q&A to follow. Food may or may not be included depending on the location and event planning. Cost will vary per event.
Ah yes, an opportunity to schmooze with your industry peers, network with other professionals, and meet people in our creative community. We will keep these events light and loose – partnering with local wineries, breweries and eateries to provide a relaxed environment to mingle and shoot the breeze.
Bringing in proven industry vets from around the country, these events will hopefully raise the bar for our members in a wide range of topics and formats. Our counterparts in Spokane have had experts from Google, Amazon, Disney and more. With this in mind, we hope to bring in some individuals speaking on topics that our members find compelling.
Want to win an ADDY? This is your chance! Basically, the ADDYs are the Oscar’s of our local advertising and marketing industry. The American Advertising Awards recognize and award the best annual creative work in our region, with categories that span media and disciplines like web design, branding/logo design, advertising campaigns, video production, photography and more. The event brings together our community of artists – creative directors, art directors, designers, developers, account executives and marketing specialists – from every level of the industry.
The ADDYs also recognize excellence from students pursuing their degrees at the collegiate level in marketing and communications majors. Students are encouraged to participate using their class projects and portfolio work with an opportunity to earn recognition (and have employers lining up to hire them).
AAF Tri-Cities strives to provide quality and value through the events we coordinate, though we highly appreciate new ideas for event topics and speakers. Have an idea you’d like to share? Let us know!
Are you interested in helping with producing our events, joining a committee to support our efforts, or joining the Board of Directors? Send us a message, we would love to hear from you!
